Hitting Home was a great success!

Wow…what an amazing Hit-a-Thon!  Tina and Mitch really came through organizing an amazing event.  We had a great time and as far as I can tell everyone else did too.  Here are a few photos that appeared on the Stamford Advocate website:

    Thank you everyone who came out on a COLD winters night to hit it home for The Food Bank!! We all had an amazing time! And those CRUMBS cupcakes!!!!!

    I’d like to make a special SHOUT OUT to the wonderful volunteers who make this evening happen.

    To my husband,Mitchell —thanks for being my personal valet for the day. You’re so well organized and made the evening really special for us!!!

    To the Tiger Den Leaders,Daryl Smith and Bob Tancs….thanks for showing up early to move those heavy tables,chairs,posting the signs,taking pictures,and mingling with the parents. Could not have done it without you!!!

    To Yohan de los Santos —the resident Emcee and Webelos 1 Den Leader…YOU ROCK my friend! Thanks for making the hot dogs and for having faith in me in my inaugural year :)

    To Steve Wood —the resident RAFFLE MAN. Thanks for keeping the kids motivated to stay to win some cool prizes. We have to remember to do that again next year.

    To the lovely ladies at the Check in and registration —Melissa and Siena Wood,Danielle Matura,and Beth St. James. Thanks for being so well organized and kept the flow going. Also thanks for stuffing the goodie bags for the kids too!

    To the Cage Managers —Gene Alvarez,Dave Pollard,Bill Patchett and anyone else I missed (sorry) —thanks for keeping the flow moving and motivating the boys!

    To the refreshment volunteers —Michael Carlon,Lori and Leah Garst,Brad,Stacy &Emily Ellis…(sorry if I missed anyone else). Thanks for feeding the cubs and their families.

    To Stephen Garst,Wolve Den Leader —thank you for donating the use of your projector,for putting together the good bags for the scouts,making the amazing “VIP”lanyards for all the scouts and volunteers,and being extremely patient &understanding in my first year as Chairperson. It’s all about First Impressions….and you certainly made Pack 48 LOOK GOOD!!

    To the Trinity Catholic baseball team —thank you sooooooo much for pitching to the future major leaguers. We hope you had fun (it looked like you did!)

    And of course,to all the Pack 48 Cubs and your Families who raised $$$ during this time of need for the Food Bank. Thank you soooooo much!!! I hope you enjoyed the evening!!!
