Webelos Fall Camporee

Attention all 2nd Year Webelos Dens interested in attending the Fall Camporee on the weekend of October 21-23,2011,at the Putnam Memorial State Park in Redding CT.

“Connecticut’s Valley Forge…” Putnam Memorial State Park,is the oldest state park in Connecticut. Located on the site of the Winter Encampment of General Israel Putnam’s Continental troops from December 1778 –May 1779,the park is dedicated to the role they played in the Revolutionary War in helping secure America’s independence.

2nd Year Webelos Dens are eligible to camp with a host troop on October 22-23,2011 Check-in/Registration 12:00 Noon — Program 1:00 PM.

Fee is $10 for each Webelos/Adult Partner pair plus the cost of food with the host troop.

Second Year Webelos (boys in the 5th Grade) are welcome to attend the
Powahay District Boy Scout Fall Camporee and camp with a host Troop.
October 22-23,2011 Check-in/Registration 12:00 Noon — Program 1 PM (Bring a bag lunch.)
 Cost:$10.00/Webelos and Parent ($5.00 each). Includes camping and program fees. Troops may charge an additional
fee for meals. Bring a bag lunch.
 Program:Webelos can join in an afternoon fun of Camporee activities,camping overnight and earn requirements
towards completing the Arrow of Light Award. More information will be emailed to leaders.
 Host Troop Notice:The purpose of this campout is to allow Webelos to camp with a troop that they may be interested in
joining. Not all of our troops may elect to attend the camporee and we cannot guarantee arranging a host troop for your
Webelos. If your joining Troop is not attending,you may want to see if they can offer an alternative campout to attend.
Guidelines:
1. Webelos Dens must camp and eat all meals with a host troop and are not permitted to camp or cook on their own.
2. This is for 5th grade Webelos only. Younger siblings or Cub Scouts not permitted.
3. Webelos should be camping with a parent/guardian or a parent-approved adult following Youth Protection Tenting
guidelines.
