One of the premiere Cub Scouting packs in Fairfield County,Pack 48 is proud to be a part of our local community.

What is your Pack like?

Our roster historically consists of about 35-40 boys across 5 packs, one for each Cub Scout rank.  Our charter organization is the United Methodist Church of Springdale.  You do not need to be a member of the church in order to join our Pack.

The cub scouting year consists of fun monthly themed Pack meetings where the are recognized for accomplishments at home and within their Den.  Each Den generally meets every other week for about an hour where the boys work on their advancements.  Dens will also occasionally schedule educational field trips that tie into Cub Scout advancement.

Is there a fee to join?

Our annual registration fee for each boy is $65.

This fee pays for much of the behind-the-scenes expenses of running Cub Scouts in Connecticut.  Our council (Connecticut Yankee Council) uses most of it to cover the insurance costs and administrative tasks.  The council also uses some of it to organize and run council-wide events such as the excellent ConnJam (Connecticut Jamboree) which is an awful lot of fun for everyone.  Whatever is left over goes into the Pack to help pay for meetings (food, prizes, equipment) and events.
